As an audience member in the theatre, you usually don't get to see the backstage area. The Schauspielhaus Bochum is one of the largest theatres in Germany and has been at its current location in Königsallee since 1953. The centrepiece of the theatre is the large auditorium with its 20-metre-high stage tower and laced floor.
